PYHÄ

Arctic Lines calls Pyhä our second home

The Pyhä Ski Resort and Pyhä-Luosto National Park create an amazing playground for freeriders.
We’ve spent years roaming the area and know the right spots for the best possible conditions on each day. We believe that Pyhä and its surroundings offer the most versatile terrain for freeriding in Finland, for beginners and experts alike.

We provide freeride tours in the region and offer themed tours for riders and skiers of all skill levels.

Pyhä Ski Resort

The best lift-accessed freeriding in Finland with Express chairlifts!

Join us and discover the excellent off-piste riding at Pyhä Ski Resort. This is a great opportunity to really discover freeriding. If you want to challenge yourself on steeper terrain, we can make it happen!

Ukonhattu

Ukonhattu, known as Two, is a fell right next to Pyhä Ski Resort. This majestic fell offers great views and fantastic riding. You can spend the entire day on the fell or just enjoy a few laps.

This is a great place to have your first taste of foot-powered freeriding!

Noitatunturi

Noitatunturi is the highest fell in the Pyhä region. Its varied terrain offers lots of great options for the way down. Be prepared to spend the entire day, as climbing the fell and cruising the long ride back in the best possible conditions will take some time – but makes for an even better experience!

The Further Fells

Freeriding in the furthest fells of Pyhä, Laakakero and Peurakero, is a wonderful experience. They make for really diverse riding, as the terrain is highly featured.

The journey to these fells is longer, but worth it. With good conditions, these fells are absolutely magical.

Other Areas

The Luosto area has excellent tree runs and often holds good snow even when it hasn’t snowed in a while. The snow-caked forests and pleasant runs offer some of the best soul riding in the region.

Themed Tours at Pyhä

Splitboard Basics

Leave the busy ski resorts behind and explore splitboarding.

During our tour, you will learn who to use a splitboard. Be prepared to have your mind blown as you discover an entirely new way of snowboarding.

We will choose our destination according to the day’s conditions and participants.

You can also hire all the necessary equipment through us.

Secret Spots

"It’s so close, but no one ever goes there."

Join us and explore new spots just around the corner and discover places of solitude where you may see only a few tracks here and there.

This tour is suitable for all who desire to challenge themselves in varying terrain. This can include steep sections as well as airs and drops from natural features if conditions allow.

The Gorge Tour

Experience the finest riding at Pyhä-Luosto National Park in one day.

During the day, we will visit the stunning gorges around Pyhä, which also provide some of the best riding in Finland. The route and its length will depend on the day’s conditions and the participants. Usually, we will cover at least 12 km and 1000 vertical meters.

This tour is also a great test for anyone wanting to take on bigger mountains. The distance covered and vertical climbed are very similar to big days in the mountains of Norway, for example.

Polar Night Freeride

Using a headlamp for freeriding can get you into the backcountry earlier in the season. It’s a great opportunity to experience the Polar Night at its best. With luck, we may even see the Northern Lights!

If you don't have a headlamp, we'll lend you one.

We will choose our destination according to the day’s conditions and participants.

Booking
