Terms & Contions

Booking & cancellation

Booking and payment

  • Once you have made a booking with us, you will confirm it by paying the invoice for your trip.

  • The invoice is sent by e-mail, and you need to pay it within 14 days.

Cancellation

  • All cancellations should be made in writing by using the email address on our website.

  • Cancellations made 2 months before the tour can be refunded in full.

  • Cancellations made less than 2 months before will not be refunded unless the cancellation is due to insurmountable obstacles, such as health reasons. We will then refund 50% of the payment.

  • We will refund the payment in full if the cancellation is due to Arctic lines.

  • We recommend having travel insurance that covers cases where you need to cancel due to illness or bad weather, or paying with a credit card, as this method usually includes insurance.

Insurance

Rescue and basic medical care in Finland are free, but we encourage all participants on our tours to consider a separate sports or travel insurance that covers the booked activity.

Notice

You are participating on a tour in nature, and thereby accept that there is risk involved. Our guides do their most to mitigate this risk: in most cases, everyday transportation creates a greater risk than our tours.

General skill level requirements for our tours

You don’t need to be an advanced backcountry skier or rider for our tours.

We choose our locations according to the day’s conditions and the group’s skill level. The day consists of moving to the area, skiing or snowboarding and enjoying our time in nature, obviously not forgetting snack time either.

  • You can ski at least on red slopes and easy, wooded terrain outside the slopes.

  • You have some experience in ski touring or snowshoeing.

  • You can keep moving in varying terrain for about 3 to 5 hours while carrying a backpack.

Group size

Our maximum group size with one guide is 6 people.

When working with groups, we can tailor the tour and pace to your skills and needs.
