A story from japan’s hidden freeride gem
The Snow Country is a story from Japan’s Hidden Freeride Gem, Minamiuonuma. Just a 1.5-hour train ride from Tokyo, this region blends untouched terrain, rich culture, and a strong local spirit.
Last winter, we set out to explore what happens when professional snowboarding meets guiding. When chasing perfect lines turns into creating meaningful experiences for others.
Snow Country is about friendship, discovery, and riding with no ego, getting back to the pure joy of being out there for the experience, the snow, and the connection.

A film about friendship through snowboarding.
Snowboarder Antti Autti reconnects with his long-time friend, Japanese mountain guide Takumi Nagai at his home Minamiuonuma, Japan. Over the years, the bond between Antti and Takumi has been forged through their shared passion for snowboarding. They both love mountains and have set a goal to go ride one of the higher peaks during Antti's visit. However, Takumi's bustling life poses a challenge to their mission, raising a question - is Antti's visit solely about achieving a snowboarding goal, or is it more important to reconnect with his friend?

Antti Autti elevates his captivating Arctic Lines video series to new heights with Aesthetics, a feature film that follows Autti, Jeremy Jones and Elena Hight as they search for dream lines in Norway's Lyngen Alps. The trio thread the needle between challenging conditions and breathtaking terrain to explore zones that demand they climb and ride at their highest level. Through successes and failures the session proves pivotal for all as they reflect on what they're searching for in the mountains and what drives them to keep going back.

Through the tunnel, into the vast area of snow
There is a place not far from Tokyo. An area of unique snow culture. For a snowboarder, it is a place of joy that allows him to leave tracks on top of the white surface that storms coming from the Japan sea create. This place is Snow Country, also known as YUKIGUNI.
